Eagle Scout Bicycle Repair Station
Year: 2024
Medium: Treated wood, concrete, community coordination
Role: Project Lead
For my Eagle Scout project, I designed and built a public bicycle repair station. I secured donations of tools and materials, led a team of 15+ volunteers through construction, and organized student workshops on basic bike maintenance. The project was entrusted to Foothill's CTE department to maintain with the project's excess funds.
This project was important to me, as one of my first assigned engineering projects was to fix a old Eagle Scout project. With my younger self in mind, my project was made to stand the test of time and to inspire a future maker.
How do you secure tools in a public space while keeping them accessible?
How can I make something outlast my influence?
